The principles taught in the Unity spiritual community are ancient ideas that run like a thread through most religions. Indeed, they have been called the golden thread or Perennial Philosophy. In this book, longtime Unity minister Paul John Roach connects the dots between Unity teachings and the tenets of the world’s religions. He takes the five universal principles taught in Unity and looks at how they were originally expressed through other faith traditions.

Each chapter is a short course on the basic elements of major and minor religions. Roach compares Unity teachings with Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Christianity, and more, with extensive quotes from the luminaries of each tradition. An excellent reference book that is also highly readable, Unity and World Religions is a treasure trove of ideas and stories about the many ways human beings relate to the Presence we all feel.

About the Author:  Paul John Roach is a native of Wales with degrees from Jesus College at the University of Oxford and the University of Wales.
